"Jimmy's Truck"

The big joke is "How is Jimmy's truck?" because Jimmy gave me the pieces to the truck. So, when Jimmy's family comes to the car show in Syracuse, Mary puts "Jimmy's Truck" sign on the front!

Seeing the USA in our Chevrolet! Syracuse Show!

We left Watkins Glenn on Wednesday after the track session (3 laps) and headed to Syracuse via the finger lakes area... beautiful drive! About 30 minutes away, my alternator quit and voltage was too low to make it in. We happened by a friendly local garage and he charged the battery while we had a great roadside diner lunch with the Gaber’s and another tour guy. Made it to the hotel and got another alternator Thursday morning. 

The Syracuse show was awesome and well run. Our group had a large tent and roped off parking about the center of everything! We had a great time there and then went back to the Hotel Jerry Dixey and had a dinner party for all.

Everyone left Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning & we had a day of rest. Monday (17th) we are headed to visit our grandkids and daughter at her in-laws at their cottage in Hamlin, NY. Then it’s off to Traverse City, MI. “Seeing the USA in our Chevrolet!"

After our wonderful tour, we met up with the grandkids in Hamlin, NY! Everyone is proud of Grandma's truck... even got a chance to drive

it!

From NY to MI

From Hamlin, NY, we went to Mary’s family in Traverse City, MI, for 10 days. We traveled through Canada on the way. While we were there we visited the Haggerty Insurance owner's private collection. Very nice cars

In the summer he opens it up once a month for all to see plus a show in the parking lot. Had to stop for a photo shoot by Lake Michigan!

Watkins Glen, NY

We enjoyed two days in Watkins Glen, NY.  1st stop Glenn Curtis Museum.   Fantastic museum dealing with the life of one of the first aviators and pioneering motorcycle and automobile innovators. After checking into the beautiful Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel, we enjoyed a sunset dinner cruise on Seneca Lake.  On our second day a walk in town and a hike in Watkins Glen State Park.

Made it to Columbus!

We made it! Over a thousand miles on the first road trip and everything is fine!! Truck ran super!! Here in Columbus, Ohio, now getting ready for the to Good Guys event tomorrow morning.
